I found this site, it uses google map data to give what appears to be precise elevation data based on map clicks.
You simply navigate to a spot, click and it tells you the ground elevation down to sub foot level. Look just below the map for the red words. It even works in lake Michigan.
It shows our repeater site at 927ft ASL, and my home about 100ft below that.

Bob, thanks for sharing the site. My qth is about 895ft ASL. Very cool tool to determine altitude.

Welcome to the forums and a nice find Bob!
I have previously used a number of different sites to calculate approximate location info such as that.

down toward the bottom were links to sites to help with 3D plots and so forth. I'd spend alot
of time writing down different things onto Notepad before coming up with the final product. ???
